Fujifilm have added three new lenses to their GFX medium format camera lens roadmap. Added to the roadmap are the GF 100-200mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR telephoto zoom, GF 45-100mm F4 R LM OIS WR medium telephoto zoom (hereinafter “GF45-100mmF4 R LM OIS WR”) and a compact and lightweight lens, the GF 50mmF3.5 R LM WR standard lens.

Panasonic has announced the development of the LEICA DG VARIO-SUMMILUX 10-25mm F1.7, the world’s first F1.7 wide-angle zoom lens for the Micro Four Thirds system.

The ‘L-Mount Alliance’ between Leica, Panasonic and Sigma is a previously unparalleled form of collaboration that will particularly benefit the customers of all three partners. The collaboration enables Panasonic and Sigma to make use of the L-Mount standard developed by Leica for their own developments and to offer both cameras and lenses utilising this lens mount.

The three companies have also launched a dedicated L-Mount Alliance website.

Leica Camera have made five exciting announcements at Photokina 2018, including a groundbreaking, industry-setting L-mount, a new mobile application, Leica FOTOS, the Leica S3, firmware updates and a new color option for the Leica CL.

• Leica L Mount: A first-of-its-kind pioneered by Leica in strategic alliance with Panasonic and SIGMA, the Leica L-Mount allows for a nearly limitless array of creative options by combining different interchangeable lenses with cameras featuring different sensor formats.
• Leica S3: The brand new Leica S3 medium format camera features a striking increase in resolution and impeccable performance in any lighting situation.
• Leica FOTOS: New mobile application Leica FOTOS enables Leica photographers to instantly transfer photos from a camera to a phone, as well as features an immersive viewing experience that allows photographers to assess and edit every detail of a raw image, including exposure.
• Leica CL Silver: The Leica CL, a versatile, fast and compact system camera, is now available in a sleek silver finish.
• Exciting Firmware updates are now available for Leica SL-System, Leica S (Typ 007), Leica M10 and Leica M10-P.

The Irix 150mm f/2.8 MACRO 1:1 lens is designed for full frame cameras with the Nikon F, Canon EF, and Pentax K mount. The Irix 150mm f / 2.8 Macro 1:1 lens is the first model available in the new version with the Dragonfly finish, in which the aluminium frame has been enclosed in an external structure made of aluminium-magnesium alloys and composite elements. Information on availability and prices will be provided at a later date.

Venus Optics have unveil 8 new and unique Laowa lenses, including the 25-100 T/2.9 Professional Cine lens, the first professional cinema style zoom lens offered by the company. Together with the 4 new lenses showed earlier in Beijing P&E, a total of 12 new Laowa lenses will make their European debut at Photokina next week.

All 12 new lenses will make their European debut in Venus Optics’ booth (Hall 2.1, D-040) at Photokina, Cologne during 26th-29th Sept. Pricing and ship date are to be confirmed.

IRIX lenses have posted a teaser video on YouTube for a mysterious new product dubbed "Dragonfly", due to be unveiled next week at Photokina 2018.

Could it be a brand new lens family to go with their current Firefly and Blackstone ranges? Or maybe their first ever Sony E-mount lens? We won't have too long to find out now...

Update 1: Second and third IRIX teaser videos have just been posted, although they don't give anything away other than confirming that it will be a new IRIX lens.

Update 2: A fourth video confirms that IRIX are launching a new macro lens - the Irix #mm f/# Macro 1:1 - designed for full frame cameras. The focal length and full specs will be announced on Monday 24th September.

Fotodiox have annnounced the Canon EF to Fujifilm GFX Fusion Smart AF Adapter. The EF-GFX Fusion Smart AF Lens adapter will allow users to mount Canon EF lenses to Fujifilm GFX bodies (pictured) while retaining autofocus, in-camera aperture control, lens image stabilization and recording lens EXIF data to the camera.

The Tokina Opera 50mm F1.4 FF is a new lens for Canon and Nikon full-frame DSLRs. In addition to the Tokina AT-X series, which has been highly evaluated in the past, Tokina will expand the Opera series as a top model group for full frame in the future.

The Tokina Opera 50mm F1.4 FF will be available in November 2018 for $949.

The Sony FE 24mm F1.4 GM lens is the compact and lightest in its class, with superb sharpness even at F1.4. It features a compact and lightweight design with a filter diameter of φ67mm and measures just 75.4mm x 92.4mm and weighs a mere 445g

The Sony FE 24mm F1.4 GM will ship in Europe in October 2018, priced at approximately £1,450, and in the US for $1,400.

The Voigtlander Color Skopar 21mm f/3.5 is a new wide-angle E-mount lens. The suggested retail price (excluding tax)is ¥ 85,000 and it's scheduled to be released in October 2018.

ExperimentalOptics have launched a Kickstarter campaign for a 35mm f/2.7 pancake len, dubbed "The Smallest Fastest Pancake Lens in the World!".

Sigma have announced the development of three new SIGMA CINE lenses in the FF High Speed Prime Line: 28mm T1.5 FF, 40mm T1.5 FF and 105mm T1.5 FF.

The SIGMA CINE LENS series will soon include LPL mount, the new lens mount optimized for the large format sensor released by ARRI in 2018. The planned release date for SIGMA CINE LENSES in LPL mount is 2019 or later.

The new Metabones Contax N-Mount to Sony E-Mount Speed Booster and Smart Adapter allow Contax N mount lenses to be used on Sony mirrorless cameras.

The Metabones Contax N-Mount to Sony E-Mount Smart Adapter and Contax N-Mount to Sony E-Mount Speed Booster ULTRA are available now for $399 and $649 respectively.

The Laowa 24mm f/14 2x Macro Probe is the world’s first consumer-grade probe lens that has been developed to provide photographers and videographers with a new perspective. The Laowa 24mm Probe lens can create a Bug-Eye perspective that cannot be done by a conventional macro lens.

The Laowa 24mm f/14 2x Macro Probe lens is expected to retail at USD $1499. It is currently available to pre-order via Kickstarter at a discounted price. The earliest expected delivery date is September.
