Lastolite By Manfrotto has announced three new accessories for the 1.8m x 2.15m (6’ x 7’) HiLite Background - the Window Voile, Shaper and Shapers and Masks. The HiLite ‘illuminated’ Background provides photographers with a truly portable high key solution.

Fujifilm are set to release a new firmware update for the X-H1 camera by the end of March 2018 to address two "malfunctions". They are:

1. In the EF (E-FRONT CURTAIN SHUTTER) setting, the warning of “TURN OFF THE CAMERA AND TURN ON AGAIN” could appear in rare cases when the FLICKER REDUCTION setting is ON.
2. Switching the CUSTOM setting can make the ISO AUTO setting return back to default when the ISO AUTO setting is changed.

The Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D is the widest angle lens (113°) among wide-angle lenses for mirrorless APS-C cameras. 3 special low dispersion lenses (ED lens) and 2 glass aspherical lenses are used extensively, with Laowa promising zero distortion. The Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D will be available in Fujifilm X, Canon EF-M and Sony E mounts, with the scheduled release date around early April 2018, priced at £499 in the UK.

Trabscend has announced today the release of the 500S and 300S series of SD and microSD cards, produced in capacities of up to 512GB and featuring transfer speeds of up to 95 MB/s.

The new F8 Stuff strap has an ergonomically designed shoulder pad as well as a strap, which is predominantly made from seatbelt webbing. The F8 Shoulder Strap retails for $109 and the camera bag for $297. 

The 52-megapixel Light L16 camera has just launched in the UK. With 16 different lenses in one flat pane, this is the world’s most advanced mobile camera. The L16 camera is available on light.co for £1,850. Customers buying an L16 between 19-31 March will receive a 30% discount (£1,2950).

Insta360 have added all-new "FlowState" pro-level stabilization to their Insta360 ONE 360-degree camera. FlowState stabilization is a proprietary stabilization technology that captures hypnotically smooth video. Comparisons show that a ONE using FlowState stabilization produces smoother video than a leading smartphone mounted on a gimbal. The updated Insta360 ONE also introduces new tools to quickly and simply edit together the best parts of 360 videos.

Hasselblad have knocked a whopping £2000 off the price of the Hasselblad X1D-50c mirrorless medium-format camera. The offer is apparently only valid for orders taken at The Photography Show in Birmingham, making it by far the biggest show discount, but a quick Google reveals that retailer Robert White are also currently offering the same price of £6,388 for online orders, so it may be that the new lower price will continue after the show closes today.

The Fujifilm GFX 50s retails for £5999 in the UK, so for the first time these medium format mirrorless cameras are priced in the same ball-park...

The new Fujifilm X-H1 has only been out for a couple of weeks, but the even newer X-H2 is already for sale, at least according to this sales flyer that we spotted on the London Camera Exchange stand at the Photography Show. Either LCE know something that the rest of the world doesn't know, or there's been a slight mix-up with the letters H and T in their marketing department...
