The Nikon Coolpix L32 is a new, easy-to-use 20.1-megapixel compact camera with 5x optical zoom. The AA battery-powered shooter can record HD videos and offers 15 scene modes for capturing stills.  The Nikon L32 will be available in red, and sold for an SRP of $119.95.

The Nikon Coolpix AW130 is a 16-megapixel waterproof (100ft / 30 m), shockproof (7ft / 2.1 m) and freezeproof (14F / -10C) camera with built-in NFC and Wi-Fi support. Boasting a 3-inch, 921k-dot OLED display, the Nikon AW130 also offers an integrated GPS module and a Nikkor branded 24-120mm (eq.) f/2.8-4.9 lens. The camera can even be remote-controlled over Wi-Fi, using a smartphone or tablet computer. The Coolpix AW130 will become available next month in Yellow, Blue and Black for a suggested retail price of $349.95.

The Nikon Coolpix S33 is a waterproof (33ft / 10m), shockproof (5ft / 1.5m) and freezeproof (14F / -10C) camera with a 13.2-megapixel CMOS sensor. Other highlights include a 3x optical zoom lens, a dedicated movie record button and 1080p video recording. In addition, the Nikon S33 offers creative fun for the whole family, with 16 creative styles and effects options. The Coolpix S33 will be available in March 2015 in white and blue for a SRP of $149.95.

The Nikon Coolpix L840 is a 16-megapixel camera with 38x optical zoom, Wi-Fi and NFC technologies on board. The AA battery-operated Nikon L840 sports a tiltable 3-inch 921K-dot LCD display and comes equipped with lens-shift Vibration Reduction to combat image blurring caused by camera shake. The easy-to-use shooter can record Full HD movies as well as 16-megapixel stills. The L840's fixed-mount zoom lens offers a focal range equivalent to 23-855mm in 35mm terms. The Nikon Coolpix L840 will be available in black, purple and red for a SRP of $299.95.

The Nikon Coolpix S9900 is a 16-megapixel compact camera with a 24-720mm (eq.) f/3.7-6.4 lens, lens-shift VR, WiFi and NFC. In addition to these features, the Nikon S9900 incorporates built-in GPS and POI technology that records the longitude and latitude of where any image was captured; while the three-inch, 921,000-dot vari-angle screen assists users in taking photographs from unusual angles. For those looking to hone in on their creative skills, this powerful travelzoom also sports automatic and manual exposure mode controls as well as new time-lapse video recording. The Coolpix S9900 will be available in black and silver for an SRP of $349.95.

The Nikon Coolpix S7000 is an ultra-lightweight 16-megapixel compact camera with a 25-500mm (eq) f/3.4-6.5 lens, NFC and WiFi. Marketed as the World's lightest camera with 20x optical zoom, the Nikon Coolpix S7000 is equipped a Target-finding AF system that enables users to pin-point their intended subject and accurately capture even fast moving scenes. Additionally, lens-shift VR technology helps minimuse blur resulting from shaky hands. The Coolpix S7000 will be available in March for $279.95.

The upcoming Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R lens will be weather-resistant. The Fujifilm X World Facebook page has published an image of the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR ASPH lens with "WR" included, which denotes "weather resistant" on other Fujifilm lenses.

They also comment "And, today we are happy to make an announcement on the development of a new lens; XF35mmF2 R, that would definitely be another killer lens for such use. Whether you prefer to shoot wide angle or standard angle of view, this lens is definitely to look out for. Stay tuned for its size, performance, and image quality, soon to come in 2015."

Fujifilm has released an updated road map for its X mount interchangeable lenses. The new lenses that have been added to the Fuji X Mount Lens Roadmap are:

XF 120mm F2.8 R Macro 1:1 Macro, telephoto lens
XF 35mm F2 R compact and lightweight standard focal length lens
1.4x Teleconverter for XF 50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR, XF 120mm F2.8 R Macro, XF 100-400mm

Fujifilm have also confirmed that the "Super Telephoto Zoom" lens that was announced on its previous roadmap update will have a focal range equivalent to 150-600mm.

The Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art is a new premium wide-angle lens that offers the highest optical performance in its class. Available for Sigma, Canon and Nikon mounts, the Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art joins the existing 35mm and 50mm Art lenses. Pricing and availability of the Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art are yet to be announced.

Update: the Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art will retail for $849 in the US.

The Sigma dp0 Quattro is a new compact camera with the Foveon X3 direct image sensor and a 21mm f/4 lens. With the addition of the dp0 Quattro to the line-up, photographers can select the most suitable camera based on their photographic needs; 21mm (SIGMA dp0 Quattro), 28mm (SIGMA dp1 Quattro), 45mm (SIGMA dp2 Quattro), 75mm (SIGMA dp3 Quattro) and 90mm (SIGMA dp3 Quattro + dedicated conversion lens 1.2x).

The Sigma dp3 Quattro compact camera incorporates a newly developed Foveon X3 direct image sensor and a 75mm lens f/2.8 lens. When the dedicated conversion lens FT-1201 (optional) is attached to the front of the lens, it magnifies the focal length of the lens by 1.2 times. Pricing and availability of the Sigma dp3 Quattro are yet to be announced.

Sigma have announced the development of the TS-81 tripod socket/foot which can be attached to the company's 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports lens to provide compatibility with the Arca Swiss quick release plate. The deliberately designed length of its rail provides the flexibility to adjust the center of gravity making it balance perfectly, even while zooming or using accessories, such as a tele converter and battery pack. The lens hood can still be reversed and the lens stored in its original padded case, even with the Tripod Socket TS-81 attached. Price and availability have yet to be communicated.

Sigma have announced the development of a 1.2x tele conversion lens that is exclusively designed for the Sigma dp3 Quattro large-sensor compact camera. When attached to the front of the lens, it magnifies the focal length of the lens by 1.2 times (60mm / equivalent to 90mm on a 35mm format), and does not change the f/2.8 aperture value. The Sigma FT-1201 Conversion Lens has an optical formula comprising 4 elements in 3 groups, and maintains excellent rendering performance while offering a different focal length. Do note that the minimum focus distance and maximum magnification ratio are both affected by attaching this conversion lens. Pricing and availability are to be confirmed.

Sigma have announced the development of a base grip designed for the Sigma dp Quattro series. When attached to the tripod mount on the bottom plate of the camera, it allows handgrip-style of shooting. It is compact and convenient and therefore very easy to carry, the company says. The BG-11 base grip has its own tripod socket so you can mount the camera on a tripod with the grip attached. Price and availability are to be confirmed.

The Pentax K-S2 is the World’s smallest dustproof, weather-resistant digital SLR camera with a variable-angle LCD monitor, wireless LAN and NFC functionality. In addition to the Pentax-original SAFOX X autofocus system, it provides a full range of advanced features, including: an AA filter simulator to assure the same level of moiré-reduction effect as an optical AA filter; an optical viewfinder with a glass pentaprism to provide a nearly 100% field of view; an in-body shake reduction mechanism; and a top sensitivity of ISO 51200/48°. The Pentax AF201FG is a new flash from Ricoh. This compact, portable unit has a maximum guide number of 20 at ISO 100/m, and features a dustproof, weather-resistant construction for outdoor shooting: The flash head can be adjusted vertically to 10 different angles for bounce flash operation. The Pentax AF201FG features a simplified operating system that lets the user start flash photography instantly by turning the discharge mode dial, which also functions as the ON/OFF switch. In addition to the OFF position, this dial provides a choice of four discharge modes: P-TTL auto flash with leading-curtain synchronisation and P-TTL auto flash with trailing-curtain synchronisation; and manual flash with full discharge and manual flash with 1/4-level discharge. The built-in wide-angle panel slides out to cover 20mm angle of view. The Pentax AF201FG will be available for £129.99 / $149.95.

The HD Pentax-DA 18-50mm F4-5.6 DC WR RE is a new standard zoom lens for Pentax K-mount cameras with APS-C sized sensors. Billed as the World’s shortest standard zoom lens, the HD Pentax-DA 18-50mm F4-5.6 DC WR RE boasts a new retractable mechanism and measures a mere 41mm in length in the stored position. The lens also features a dependable weather-resistant construction with nine special seals to effectively prevent the intrusion of water into the interior. By pairing it with a weather-resistant Pentax digital SLR camera body, the user is guaranteed  a durable digital imaging system that performs reliably in demanding shooting settings — even in the rain or mist, or at locations prone to water splashes or spray. The brand-new Ricoh WG-5 GPS is designed to be waterproof to a depth of 14 metres, shockproof against falls from heights of 2.2 metres, and cold-resistant to temperatures to as low as -10°C. Sporting a 25-100mm (eq.) f/2.0-4.9 lens and a 16-megapixel imager with sensor-shift image stabilisation, the Ricoh WG-5 GPS is capable of recording Full HD movies at 30 frames per second.. It also provides such creative movie-shooting tools as a high-speed camera function for slow-motion playback of captured movie clips, and a fast-forward movie function. A micro-HDMI terminal (Type D) is provided on the camera body for simultaneous output of Full HD movie clips and sound to external audio-visual devices. A new (Flash Off + Flash On) "Mermaid" mode has been added to the list of flash modes to consecutively capture two images of the same scene — one without a flash illumination and another with it — with a single shutter release. The new Ricoh WG-5 GPS’s exterior design is easy-to-hold owing to it’s non-slip body, and comes in a a choice of two colours - orange and gun metallic.
