The price, specs and availability of the Fujifilm GFX 100 medium format mirrorless camera have been revealed. As the name suggests, the GFX100 has a 100 megapixel back illuminated sensor sensor (102 megapixels to be precise) with fast and accurate AF phase detection, 4K/30p video recording and five-axis image stabilisation of up to 5.5 stops, all 'world’s first' features.
The Fujifilm GFX 100 will be available from the end of June 2019 priced at £9,999 in the UK and $9,999 in the USA.

The Hasselblad X1D is the World's first CSC with a 50-megapixel medium-format CMOS imager. Weighing in at 725 grams, the Hasselblad X1D is lighter and more portable than a lot of 35mm full-frame DSLRs, while delivering superior image quality courtesy of its considerably larger sensor. Hand-made in Sweden, the new X1D offers 14 stops of dynamic range; Full HD video recording; integrated Wi-Fi and GPS; a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25,600; dual SD card slots; an XGA electronic viewfinder and a large 3" multi-touch display with a graphical user interface similar to that of the Hasselblad H6D. The new camera uses an entirely new line of XCD lenses, which feature auto focus and built-in leaf shutters; but is also compatible with all 12 lenses and lens accessories from the Hasselblad H System, via an adapter. Available in late August / early September, the Hasselblad X1D carries an MSRP of £5,990/€7,900/$8,995 (+VAT where applicable).

Tamron has announced the recommended retail price of its new SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD telephoto lens. Introduced in February, the Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD is the World's first image-stabilised 85mm f/1.8 lens for SLR cameras. Using LD (Low Dispersion) and XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass elements, the new lens is constructed with Tamron’s new SP design, incorporating a new look and feel which includes larger and more tactile switches, together with Tamron’s Moisture-Resistant Construction. VC (Vibration Compensation) is also included in the lens design to help reduce camera shake making it easy to take handheld photographs in low light. USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) focusing is also a key part in delivering sharp and precise focus every time, with full-time manual override for extra creative control. The lens will go on saleon sale on March 24th in Canon and Nikon mounts, priced at $749. The Sony version willbe launched at a later date.

The updates add support for the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II, EOS 80D and EOS 1300D, the Nikon D500 and D5, the Olympus PEN-F and SH-3, the Panasonic DMC-CM10, GF8 and TZ100, the Samsung NX3300, the Sony Alpha A6300 and the Yuneec CGO4, and fix a number of bugs.

Lexar Media has announced improvements to the Professional line of CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards. Lexar has increased the capacity of Professional 300x CF cards to 32GB (see picture above), and Professional 233x CF cards are now available in 16GB and 32GB capacities.
