Peak Design have teamed up with Leica and released the "Peak Design for Leica Backpack Capsule". This consists of a Backpack, Cuff and Leash from Peak Design with signature red stitching and a ‘red dot’. With limited availability of only 100 units, the Peak Design for Leica Backpack Capsule can be pre-ordered now for $299.

Sony's Imaging Edge software suite is now available to download for Mac and Windows. Announced at the same time as the A7R III camera, Imaging Edge includes a remote shooting application, image viewer and RAW development application. Importantly, Imaging Edge also supports the A7R III's Pixel Shift Multi Shooting mode.

Hasselblad is introducing the ‘Rent a Hasselblad’ service at around 40 rental pick-up locations across the globe. Starting with the X1D-50c mirrorless medium format camera and a selection of XCD lenses, ‘Rent a Hasselblad’ is a global online service to book Hasselblad cameras and lenses for a selected period of time.

Panasonic Japan have announced that the new G9 mirrorless camera will start to ship on 25th January 2018. In addition, the new 200mm Leica lens will be available from 14th December 2017. In the meantime, check our our early Panasonic G9 review.

Adobe Lightroom Downloader is a new app that downloads all your Lightroom CC photos and videos from the cloud as original files and stores them in a local folder. The Ihagee Elbaflex is a new Nikon F mount, fully manual film camera with a wooden grip. Launching on Kickstarter today, the Ihagee Elbaflex is available for pledges that start at $529, as well as bundles that will include either the Trioplan 50mm or Lydith 30mm lenses. The camera is expected to be shipped to Kickstarter backers in August 2018 and will eventually have a full retail price of $1,500.

Nikon has kicked off its 2017-2018 curriculum by unveiling their latest Nikon School program schedule. Hoya have introduced two new filter ranges in the UK. ULTRA-PRO is the new top of the range consumer filter that is both scratch and stain resistant, while NX-10 is aimed at the beginner and serious amateur photographer.

Sony have announced 150 and 100 megapixel back-illuminated medium format sensors that can also record 4K video. Both sensors, named IMX211 and IMX411, will offer a high dynamic range function and 14 bit rich graduation expression. Additionally, the 150 megapixel IMX411 sensor will be capable of recording 8K video at 16fps. Expect to see these sensors appear in the next generation Hasselblad and Fujifilm medium-format digital cameras...
