Nikon at PDN PhotoPlus Expo 2017

Nikon will once again return to the PhotoPlus Expo in New York City, offering attendees a compelling booth experience. Official Nikon D3200 Sample Images

Nikon has posted seven full-resolution sample photos taken with the new Nikon D3200 digital SLR camera. Shot at ISO 100 at ISO 200, the samples were captured with three low-cost lenses including the AF-S DX 18-55mm kit zoom, the AF-S DX 55-300mm telezoom and the AF-S DX Micro-Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G macro lens. 65 Million Nikkor Lenses Produced for Nikon SLRs

According to Nikon, the total production of Nikkor interchangeable lenses for Nikon SLR cameras reached sixty-five million at the beginning of this month. The first Nikon SLR camera, the professional-grade Nikon F, was launched in 1959 along with the very first F-mount Nikkors such as the Nikkor-S Auto 5cm f/2. In March 2011, total production of Nikkor lenses reached sixty million. Since then, Nikon has continued to expand the product lineup by releasing two new SLR lenses, the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G (read review) and the AF-S DX Micro-Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G.

Nikon AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G

The Nikon AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G is a new, affordable 1:1 macro lens for use on Nikon DX digital SLR cameras. Weighing in at approximately nine ounces, the extremely compact and lightweight lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 0.53 feet (6.4 inches). For fast and quiet autofocus operation, the new Nikon 40mm Micro lens also features Nikon’s exclusive Silent Wave Motor technology that allows full-time access to manual focus.
