The pricing, availability and full specifications of the new Laowa 17mm f/1.8 MFT lens have just been announced.

Retailing for just $149 / £189, the Laowa 17mm f/1.8 MFT is the most affordable lens that manufacturer Venus Optics has ever released.

The 17mm lens provides the equivalent of a 34mm angle of view on a full-frame sensor. The lens houses nine elements in seven groups, and has a seven-blade diaphragm to give a pleasing sunstar rendering. The lens is compact and weighs just 6oz (172g). It has a minimum focus distance of 15cm and comes with a 46mm filter thread.

The new Tokina atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF is an ultra wide angle zoom lens for APS-C sensor DLSR cameras.

The ultra-wide 11-16mm focal length is ideal for shooting landscapes, interiors, nightscapes, and group shots, while the constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 offers great performance in low light shooting, with exceptional depth of field control.

Pricing and Availability

The Tokina ATX-i 11-16mm f/2.8 CF lens is available to pre-order now for $450, and will begin shipping on November 8th 2019.

After a lot of rumors, the long-awaited Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III has finally been officially announced.

If you don't know already, this is an update of the popular E-M5 Mark II camera from 2015. The new Mark III version offers a 20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor, TruePic VIII image processor, in-body 5-axis image stabilization system, weather-proofing, 121-point all cross-type on-chip phase detection autofocus system, 10fps burst shooting, 4K 30P high-definition video recording, 2.36 million-dot OLED viewfinder, and USB charging.

Availability and Price

In the UK the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III will be available from mid November in silver or black as body only priced at £1099.99 and in different kit versions as e.g. with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40 F2.8 PRO lens at £1699.99 or with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200 F3.5-6.3 lens at £1599.99 EUR.

Olympus are also offering pre order customers a £100 trade in and free BLS-50 battery to launch the OM-D E-M5 Mark III valid on pre orders to 15 November 2019.

In the US and Canada, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III will be available in both black and silver in late November. The camera body only will have a suggested retail price of $1,199.99 USD and $1,499.99 CAD and the camera body with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm F4.0-5.6 II lens will have a suggested retail price of $1,799.99 USD and $2,249.99 CAD.

2019 is Olympus' official Centenary year (Congratulations!), and following the launch of the E-M1X camera back in the Spring, the company are now reportedly gearing up for the launch of a much more affordable successor to the popular OM-D E-M5 Mark II (pictured), somewhat predictably called the OM-D E-M5 Mark III. Update 1: Internet giant Amazon has now confirmed the price and launch date of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III - it will apparently cost £1,355.60 and be available on November 18th 2019. It will feature re-engineered 5-axis image stabilisation for handheld shooting, a new OLED electronic viewfinder, and be weather-resistant. Amazon have predictably pulled the leaked product page...

With the recent launch of the Z50 mirrorless camera, Nikon have updated their camera range positioning, as of October 2019.

There are now 10 Nikon interchangeable lens cameras on the market - a mix of 3 mirrorless and 7 DSLRs, 5 full-frame and 5 APS-C.

The Canon IVY REC is a waterproof and shockproof outdoor camera that clips to a belt or bag or slips into a pocket. Made for adventure, the lightweight and wearable camera has still and video capabilities while being waterproof and shockproof.

The Canon IVY REC comes in three colors, Riptide (Blue), Avocado (Green) and Dragon Fruit (Pink), and is priced at £119.99 / $129.99 in the UK and US respectively. It will be available in late October 2019.

The Sigma fp is the world's smallest and lightest mirrorless digital camera with a full-frame image sensor.

It incorporates a 35mm full-frame Bayer sensor with 24.6 effective megapixels into a compact body that weighs just 370g, bucking the recent trend for bigger mirrorless cameras.

The Sigma fp will cost $1,899 / £1,999 and be available from 25th October 2019 in the US and late-November in the UK.

Nikon have unveiled a new lens roadmap for the Z series, with 13 new lenses scheduled for release by the end of 2021.

Interestingly, only one new Z DX lens, the 18-140mm zoom, will be added to the two new Z DX lenses that were announced along with the Z50 camera earlier today.

Nikon have officially announced the long-awaited NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct, a fast, standard prime, manual-focus lens for the Nikon Z mount system.

The new NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens will be available from 31st October 2019 priced at £8,299.

The much-rumored Nikon Z50 APS-C DX format mirrorless camera has just been officially unveiled.

The Z50 has a 20.9 megapixel APS-C sensor with 209 phase detection AF pixels, ISO 100-51200, 11fps burst shooting, EXPEED 6 processor, 180-degree flip screen, 2360k-dot EVF, 4K UHD video recording at 30p, and a 395g body.

The new Nikon Z50 will be available starting from 7th November 2019 priced at £849 / $856.95 body only.

In addition, Nikon have also introduced two new DX-format zoom lenses - the NIKKOR Z DX 16–50mm f/3.5–6.3 VR and the NIKKOR Z DX 50–250mm f/4.5–6.3 VR - to go with the Z50 camera.

In response to customer feedback , Canon have announced an upcoming firmware update which will add a 24p mode for video recording for some recently launched EOS and PowerShot cameras. These include the EOS 90D, EOS RP, PowerShot G7 X Mark III and G5 X Mark II, and the EOS M6 Mark II.
