The new Canon EOS 850D DSLR camera is the successor to the EOS 77D and 800D models, with both lines merging into one.

Canon are still dedicated to DSLR and mirrorless systems, giving people more choice, with both system having their own particular merits and drawbacks.

The Canon 850D (also known as the EOS Rebel T8i in the US) has a very similar design to the 800D, sitting between the 250D and 90D in the EOS range.

This is a 24 megapixel APS-C DSLR with the latest Digic 8 processor. It offers 7fps burst shooting, Eye Detection AF, Dual Pixel CMOS 45 point all cross-type AF system, 400K pixel AE sensor, and 4K 24/25p cropped video (same as the EOS 250D).

It now features a new Quick Control dial and a new AF-ON button, plus a 3.5mm jack for an external mic.

The Canon EOS 850D will be available from April 2020 priced at £819.99 / €989.99 body-only.

In the US, the EOS Rebel T8i camera body has an estimated retail price of $749.99 and the EOS Rebel T8i kit with EF-S 18-55mm F4-5.6 IS STM lens has an estimated retail price of $899.99.

image.canon is a new free backup and management service that replaces the Canon Image Gateway from early April 2020.

It offers up to 10Gb of long-term automatic and free cloud backup, including RAW and 4K videos, and you can store all your original images for up to 30 days.

The Canon SELPHY SQUARE QX10 is a new compact photo printer that uses Dye-Sub rather than Zink technology, which resists the effects of fading for up to 100 years. It prints on 68mmx68mm square, sticky-backed Canon XS-20L paper, offers Wi-Fi connectivity and has a built-in battery that also supports USB charging.

Available in four distinct colours (Black, White, Pink and Green), the Canon SELPHY SQUARE QX10 is priced at £139.99 / €169.99 and packs of 20 Canon XS-20L square format photo paper at £14.99 / €17.99, available from March 2020.

In the US, the Canon SELPHY Square printer is available in black, white, pink and green and has an estimated retail price of $149.99. Additional 20 pack of paper is also available for $14.99.

Nikon have just announced that the Nikon D6 DSLR camera is in development, boasting the company's most powerful AF system yet.

In addition, Nikon have also announced the development of the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR telephoto zoom lens.

The Nikon D6 will be available in Spring 2020 priced at £6,299 / $6,499.95.

Nikon have introduced two new Z full-frame mirrorless lenses - a 20mm prime and a 24-200mm travel telephoto zoom.

The Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8 S will be available from 19th March 2020 priced at £1,049 / $1,049.95.

The Nikkor Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR will be available from 16th April 2020 priced at £849 / $899.95.

The Galaxy S20 is Samsung’s first, full 5G flagship lineup, featuring unprecedented 5G and AI camera technologies.

The S20 Ultra has a 108MP camera, with the option to shift dynamically between a high resolution 108MP mode and a 12MP mode which combines nine pixels into one at the sensor level. It also has a 10x zoom lens and provides Super Resolution Zoom up to 100X using AI powered, multi-image processing to reduce quality loss at high zoom levels. The Galaxy S20 series also offers stunning 8K video shooting.

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO is a new standard zoom lens that's lighter, more compact and more affordable than the existing M.Zuiko Digital ED 12–40mm F2.8 PRO.

The weather-proof Olympus 12-45mm weighs in at just 254g, is comprised of 12 elements in 9 groups, has a ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating, and usefully features 0.5x magnification and a close-focusing distance of 12cm for macro shooting.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO lens will be available from late March 2020 in black priced at £599.99.

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III is a new professional mirrorless camera with an exceptionally compact and lightweight design that's designed for outstanding mobility.

Coming across like a mini E-M1X, the E-M1 Mark III features a 20.4 Megapixel Live MOS sensor, the world’s best image stabilization system with 7.5 shutter speed steps of compensation, a new OLED viewfinder, the very latest Truepic IX processor, 50 megapixel Handheld High Res Shot mode and 80 Megapixel Tripod High Res Shot function, a Live ND without a filter, weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, 121-point all cross-type On-chip Phase Detection AF sensor, 18 fps high-speed sequential shooting with AF/AE tracking, and Cinema 4K video recording.

The Olympus EM1 Mark III will be available from late February 2020 in black priced at £1,599.99 body only.

Different kit versions are also available, with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40 F2.8 PRO lens priced at £2,199.99 or with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100 F4.0 IS PRO lens priced at £2,499.99.

Sony have released a Camera Remote Software Development Kit to allow third-party developers and integrators to remotely control Sony cameras.

The Camera Remote SDK initially supports the Alpha 7R IV and Alpha 9 II cameras.

The Ricoh WG-70 is a new waterproof digital compact camera that can be used in depths down to 14 meters, with enhanced features that include the Digital Microscope mode.

The Ricoh WG-70 will be available in March priced at £280 / $280.

Fujifilm have just announced that the successor to the X-T3, their most popular mirrorless camera, will be unveiled on Feburary 26th 2020 at the CP+ show in Japan.

Unsurprsingly, the new model will be called the Fujifilm X-T4.

Other than a countdown timer on Fujifilm's website, there are no other official details about the new camera yet.
