Panasonic L10We’ve published a selection of 25 sample photos from a pre-production version of the new Panasonic L10 digital SLR camera, taken at last week’s European press event in Berlin, Germany. Note that these images are resized and are not indicative of the final quality of the Panasonic L10.

Update 20th September: We’ve now published another set of 25 photos (again resized) which were all taken at a Panasonic event held at the Tower of London, UK, on a bright sunny day.

GE E850General Imaging caused quite a stir back at the PMA show in March when they unveiled a completely new range of digital cameras, to be sold under the venerable General Electric (GE) brand name. Nearly 6 months on cameras are finally shipping, and today we take a look at the mid-range GE E850 model. This camera has an amazing specification given its budget price tag. Canon Digital IXUS 75Measuring just 19.6mm thick, the Canon Digital IXUS 75 is one of the slimmest compact cameras in Canon’s extensive lineup. The new Canon IXUS 75 offers a 7.1 megapixel sensor, 3x zoom lens equivalent to 35-105mm, and a large 3 inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixels. Canon’s DIGIC III image processor, which is also used in its DSLR range, powers the IXUS 75 behind the scenes, and also provides the camera’s Face Detection and Noise Reduction technologies. There’s also a new Red-Eye Correction feature on offer in Playback mode, a range of ISO speeds up to 1600 and a new ISO Auto Shift function to help avoid image blur whenever camera shake is predicted. The S5 Pro offers an expanded dynamic range of up to 400% via the double pixel technology (6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million R-pixels) of the camera’s Super CCD SR Pro sensor. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 digital compact camera is a radical departure from the norm. How many other cameras can you think of that offer a 3.5 inch, 921,000 pixel LCD screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, MP3 player, optical image stabilisation and 2Gb of internal storage? On the other hand the Sony G1 also has some more regular features in the shape of a 6 megapixel sensor and 3x zoom lens equivalent to 38-114mm.
