Final Update: 17th March 2007, 10.00am GMT
Welcome to the Final version of my PMA 2007 Report. I’ve updated my PMA 2007 Report with the latest news. The Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Annual Convention and Trade Show takes place this year in Las Vegas, USA and runs from 8th - 11th March 2007. This is the world’s largest annual photo imaging trade show, where the major photography manufacturers will unveil their new product line-ups for 2007 and beyond. Just like last year, PhotographyBLOG will be covering PMA live from the show floor. Expect a lot of announcements both in the weeks leading up to PMA and during the 4 days of the show itself. To help you keep track of everything that’s going on, our PMA Report will contain links to all of the latest product announcements. You can also signup for our email Newsletter or subscribe to our RSS feed, which will keep you up to date with everything that is happening before, during and after PMA 2007.

PMA 2007: Have you ever wanted to ask your favourite photography manufacturer a specific question? Well, now you can! I’m in Las Vegas getting ready for the PMA photography show, which starts tomorrow with Sneak Peek, a whirlwind tour around the best of what the show has to offer, followed by Digital Focus in the evening, and then the show proper begins in earnest on Thursday. So you’ll have to be quick if you want your question asked. I’ll select the best ones and ask them on your behalf - you get some straight answers (hopefully), I get some interesting interview questions, everyone’s a winner! Just post your question in the Comments section, and please limit your enthusiasm to no more than 2 questions each.
Update: I’ve now answered as many questions as possible. I’m not at PMA now, so please don’t ask any more!

I’ve been featured as a guest blogger on Xerox’s “In The Balance Blog” website - check out my article Vapourware Steals the Show.
“So how come the stars of the show, the products that got everyone excited, weren’t even real? In an industry where future plans can be just as important as what’s released now, several savvy manufacturers have taken to displaying early mockups of their future big money earners.”

Perhaps more interesting is Panasonic’s claim that the latest Lumix models offer better noise performance than the previous generation of cameras. Read my review to find out if the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12 lives up to those claims.

The new Nikon Coolpix S10 compact digital camera offers a 6 megapixel sensor, Vibration Reduction and a 10x, 38-380mm lens, all in a retro twisting body/lens design that was first seen several years ago on early Coolpix models like the 900 and 950. The Nikon S10 is definitely different to everything else that’s on the market, but is it actually any good? Gavin Stoker finds out in our latest camera review.

The Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti is currently Canon’s flagship compact digital camera. A little bit flash, but still affordable, the IXUS 900 Ti is the Porsche 911 of digital compacts, with a silky-smooth titanium body, 10 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom lens. With PMA just around the corner, the Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti will probably be replaced, so it could also become more of a bargain than its list price suggests. But is it worth considering, whatever the price may be? Gavin Stoker takes a look in our latest review.

“Photography has quite a strong pull on my life, and that really is not limited to any particular type. I am developing an interest in portraiture though, because I like images which convey emotion and the face is so unique and individual; so expressive.”
