Polaroid has launched a new, fully automatic TTL flash unit for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sony cameras. The Studio Series Digital PL-108AF flash has a guide number of 18 (in metres at ISO100/21°) and comes with a tilting flash head with precise light control, red-eye reduction capabilities and an AF assist light. It also includes quick settings such as Auto Focus, TTL metering and automatic shutter speed for simple shooting. Having issued a Windows 10 compatibility announcement at the beginning of this month, Fujifilm now released firmware updates for seven X-series compacts and CSCs. These include the Fujifilm X100S, X100T (pictured), X20, X30, X-Pro1, XQ2 and X-E2 models. Similar firmware upgrades for other Fuji cameras are planned to be released later this year.

Iridient Digital has released Iridient Developer 3.0.1. This version adds support for the Canon 5DS and 5DS R, the Nikon D7200, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II and SH-2, the Panasonic TZ71 and Samsung NX500. Additionally, it includes improvements to the new v3 noise reduction methods for Luminance and Luminance Grain Smoothness, particularly for images with high levels of speckle type noise in the deep shadows. The v3 Colour noise reduction methods are now both applicable to monochrome conversions and are now applied prior to monochrome conversion. New presets for Fujifilm X-Trans cameras with APS-C based sensors are also available. This update is free for everyone who purchased a new or upgraded license after 14 April 2013.

On 26th February, Fujifilm will release an update to its free Raw File Converter EX application. Version 2.0 of the Silkypix-powered program brings film simulation support for the Fujifilm XQ2, X30, X100T, X-A2 and X-T1/X-T1 Graphite Silver Edition (pictured), Support for earlier X-series models will be added via a future software upgrade.

Version 8.1 incorporates the following feature enhancements: incremental camera controls, up to sixteen adjustment layers, additional TIFF processing options, LiveVIew support for select models of Sony cameras, the ability to edit images in external applications, and much more.
