Kodak is showcasing its newest flagship Astro Zoom bridge camera at CES 2018, which boasts an impressive 102x zoom lens, a first in its category. The new model is part of the KODAK PIXPRO compact camera range, which starts with Friendly Zoom point and shoots priced well under $100US to the powerful, mega long-zoom Astro Zoom (AZ651 model pictured above) category with prices starting at $129.99 for a 25x zoom up to 65x zoom priced under $400US. No further details about the 102x Astro Zoom camera, including a full name, have been released so far.

Phew, what a day! Press Day at Photokina 2016 turned out to be much bigger than we expected, with flagship products seemingly being announced on the hour, every hour. JK Imaging has announced two new Kodak PixPro Smart Lens camera models, enabling users to outfit their existing iOS or Android smartphones with a snap-on camera module. Features on the Kodak PixPro SL10 ($199) include 1080p video, a 28-280mm eq. 10X zoom lens, optical image stabilisation, Wi-Fi and a microSD memory card slot. The SL25 ($299) boasts a 24-600mm eq. 25X zoom lens, wireless connectivity and a memory card slot. The Kodak PixPro Smart Lens devices will be available in spring 2014.
The Kodak Pixpro AZ651 is a new superzoom camera boasting 65x optical zoom, image stabilisation and a 3" vari-angle display. Equipped with a 24-1560mm equivalent lens, the AZ651 is capable of shooting Full HD videos and comes with a proprietary lithium-ion battery. The AZ651 is scheduled to go on sale in spring 2014 at a price of $349.
The Wi-Fi enabled Kodak Pixpro S-1 - whose first mock-up was unveiled almost a year ago - is a Micro Four Thirds camera boasting a sixteen-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 3.0" 920,000-dot articulated LCD, sensor-shift image stabilisation and Full HD video recording capabilities. The Kodak Pixpro S-1 is priced at $499 for the entry-level single lens kit and $599 for a double lens kit.
The FinePix F900EXR is the range-topping camera from Fujifilm, sporting a 20x lens with a versatile focal range of 25-500mm. The 16 megapixel F900 EXR also features fast phase-detection autofocusing, wireless image transfer, GPS support, full 1080p movies, a high-contrast 3 inch LCD screen and 8fps continuous shooting. JK Imaging, the worldwide licensee of the Kodak brand name for digital cameras, has expanded its Astro Zoom (AZ) range with a number of new 16-megapixel models. The Kodak Pixpro AZ521, AZ362 and AZ251 join the Pixpro AZ361, which was announced in April. The range-topping Kodak AZ521 offers 52x optical zoom (24-1248mm eq.), Full HD video and a 3" rear screen. The Kodak Pixpro AZ362 ($249.99, pictured) boasts a 24-864mm equivalent lens with OIS, Full HD movie recording capability (which is a step up from the AZ361's 720p video) and a 3", 460,000-dot display. Finally, the AA-battery-powered Kodak Astro Zoom AZ251 ($149.99) offers a 24-600mm equivalent superzoom lens with image stabilisation, a 3", 230,000-dot monitor and 720p HD movies.

JK Imaging, the worldwide licensee of the Kodak brand name for digital cameras, has unveiled a new Micro Four Thirds camera called the Kodak Pixpro S1. The company’s representatives showed a mock-up of the new camera at a press conference in China. In addition to being compatible with Micro Four Thirds lenses - and possibly other MFT accessories -, the Kodak Pixpro S1 will also offer smartphone connectivity over Wi-Fi. Other details are vague but it appears that the new Kodak-branded CSC will be equipped with a Sony sensor, just like Olympus’ newer MFT offerings.
Kodak has been a member of the Four Thirds consortium since the latter’s inception in 2002. JK Imaging’s adoption of Micro Four Thirds standard was announced today.
